Paul McCartney: A Fireman Interviewed

January 31, 2009

The former Beatle talks about karma, wealth, nostalgia, fame and his new LP, Electric Arguments

By Kristine McKenna

I imagine you know who Paul McCartney is, but here are some recent data: He’s 66 years old, single and financially secure. He recently released Electric Arguments, the third album by Fireman, an ongoing McCartney side project that represents the former Beatle’s foray into trance and dance music. Composed of McCartney and British producer/deejay Youth, Fireman opens its third full-length release with “Nothing Too Much Just Out of Sight,” a tune that features the most bone-rattling vocal McCartney’s delivered since “Helter Skelter.” The first time I heard it on the radio, I thought it was Jack White. McCartney Ready to Wed Non-Gold Digger

January 28, 2009

Looks as though Paul McCartney has learned his lesson — this time around he’s getting married to someone who’s got $$ of her own.

Multiple reports from the UK say the Beatle is just ’round the corner from tying the knot with New Yorker Nancy Shevell, the socialite whose own
divorce just was made final. Apparently, they’ve even gotten the “seal of approval” from Paul’s daughter, Stella.

Macca lost almost $50 mil in his split from Heather Mills.
